Formal Council 19/11/2010
The following conclusions were adopted during the Education council meeting of 19 November 2010:
- European cooperation in vocational education and training in the period 2011-2020
- The Youth on the Move initiative – an integrated approach in response to the challenges young people face
- Increasing the level of basic skills in the context of European cooperation on schools for the 21st century
- Education for sustainable development
The council was concluded by a Ministrial debate on “Breaking the cycle of disadvantage – The role of education in combating poverty, inequality and social exclusion” based on a Presidency background paper.
